News on East Hampshire Local Plan

Thank you to everyone who took part in our last Local Plan consultation. The consultation looked at key issues and priorities for our district, such as the climate emergency and an ageing population.

We received more than 3,000 contributions and they are all now available to view on our website. The responses have been collated into themes, along with the results from the questions asked.

Thank you to everyone who took part, your comments will help us to make sure the Local Plan best meets the needs of our local communities and the requirements set by Government.

As can be seen from the responses, we have received a wide range of views, sometimes conflicting. It is the role of the council to use these responses, as well as other evidence, to identify a reasonable and deliverable strategy for the Local Plan.

The Local Plan is a vital document that will affect how the district grows over the next 20 years, so now is the time to get involved. We can’t do it without you.

You will be notified directly of the next Local Plan consultation, which will include proposed policies and site allocations.
