Just over a week to go until the consultation closes on 4 March

Almost 10,000 visits have been made to our Local Plan consultation since it launched at the end of January.

The results we get from the consultation will help us plan for the development and growth of areas of East Hampshire outside the South Downs National Park until 2040.

The draft Local Plan makes proposals for sites which residents can read through and make comments on.

It contains the planning policies we will need to make sure that development is controlled and sustainable.

And it sets out how development can be managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment as much as possible.

This consultation is being held primarily online, allowing readers to head to the sections that are most important to them and then make their comments quickly and easily.

If you need a catch up on what a Local Plan is for, you can watch our video explaining it all.

You can also take part in the consultation by email (localplan@easthants.gov.uk) or letter.
