Have you had your say on the Local Plan?

Consultation closes on Monday 4 March

We are half way through a consultation that sets plans for the future of development and growth in East Hampshire until 2040.

The Local Plan is a crucial planning document that provides a vision for creating sustainable development in parts of the district outside the South Downs National Park.

Our draft Local Plan makes proposals for sites, details planning policies, shows how the Government’s housing targets can be met and suggests what business sites and infrastructure are required.

The Plan will also set out how development can be managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment as much as possible.

This consultation is being held primarily online, allowing readers to head to the sections that are most important to them and then make their comments quickly and easily.

As well as reading the document and leaving comments residents can watch our video explaining the Local Plan and read our easy guide.

You can also take part in the consultation by email (localplan@easthants.gov.uk) or letter.
